Flip or Flop (2013-2022)

If you’re interested in flipping houses, this HGTV show is perfect for you. The hosts, Christina and Tarek El Moussa, work together to flip homes in Southern California.

Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles (2006-Present)

In the world of million-dollar homes, the stakes are incredibly high. The lives of the real estate agents involved in the deals can be stressful because there’s so much money on the line. The show also focuses on the real estate agents’ social dynamics and personal lives. 

This ongoing Bravo show has aired 13 seasons so far and has led to three spin-offs: “Million Dollar Listing New York,” “Million Dollar Listing Miami,” and “Million Dollar Listing San Francisco.” 

In the latest season, “our LA agents are back and at the top of their game as they face a booming market that has defied expectations,” the show’s description says. “With demand from both sellers and buyers that has skyrocketed as high as the prices, the agents must rise to the next level to become even more inventive and bold to beat the competition. Selling Sunset (2019-Present)

This soapy Netflix reality TV show focuses on agents at a luxury real estate brokerage in Southern California.  

“The elite agents at The Oppenheim Group sell the luxe life to affluent buyers in LA,” the show’s description says. “Relationships are everything, and that often means major drama.” 

The five-season show is incredibly entertaining and features absolutely gorgeous houses. It has led to one spin-off series, “Selling Tampa,” as well as a second forthcoming spin-off, “Selling the OC.”

House Hunters (1999-Present)

Buying a home can be a stressful and extremely emotional process. Each episode of this long-running HGTV show follows a homebuyer who’s searching for their dream home. 

“‘House Hunters’ takes viewers behind the scenes as individuals, couples, and families learn what to look for and decide whether or not a home is meant for them,” the show’s description says. “Focusing on the emotional experience of finding and purchasing a new home, each episode shows the process as buyers search for a home.”
